You can use this to see if a thunderstorm is rotating, and if it is, how intense that rotation is. If rotation is intense enough, a tornado could form. Rotation is indicated by winds blowing towards each other in a circular pattern. The greater the magnitude of the winds and the closer the opposing winds are, the more intense the rotation.
